Firefighter 1 and 2, EMT, dive training, cold water rescue, officer training, arson school, haz mat, extrication, communications and countless workshops over the years
About Me:
After becoming a firefighter in 1978 I became an EMT the following year. I became the training officer and finished as chief for the last 13 years of active service. I retired as chief in 2003 but am still a lifetime honorary member of the department and the Racine County Fire Chief Association. Still interested in volunteer work. I started a fundraising campaign to help support the Wisconsin Burn Camp for burn injured youth.
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I joined back in 1978 to help other people in need. The gratitude from helping others in need and the bonds made with others is hard to explain to anyone who was never involved in the fire service
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I love people. If they need help I want to be able to offer it.
Frank, Welcome to the Firefighter Nation. I am glad you joined the group. There is lots to do, read and be involved with. Your participation and involvement is important to us all.
