thank you very much for the add. looking at your page I see that you work for the Hall of Flames (I'd not heard of it before) and you have some GREAT Pics! I am really enthralled with the History of Firefighting and have many questions since I've been in about certain things. I may even send questions to you from time to time if you don't mind. :^) Well, have a Blessed Day, Be Safe and I will talk to you Soon!
like i said, great pics ,,,, thanks for the add and keep me posted ,,, and if you get a request from leo cartwright to exchange patches, talk to me first ,,,,
Louise, thanks for the invite as a friend. Its always good to network with others in this great "family" we have in firefighting. Love your photos of the old apparatus. We have a 1953 Ford F-800 Big Job Fire Engine at our station-I love taking it out and driving it, it's like going back in time and letting that Federal Q wail too!! Nice to meet you-Mike.
Hellow Louise. Thanks for writing. I love your pictures. Is it ok for me to download a few. I especially like the car with the hose going thru the windows. as I parked my car a MSJ Junior college last night I made sure my car was well past 15 feet of the hydrant. I thought about my windows being punched out and a leaky house in my backseat. NO thanks.
We are right on Interstate 74 west of Galesburg.
I grew up in Galva, IL.
I took training from Jim Blessman, who was on Pekin at the time.
I want to say HazMat guy.
Dear Louise Thorton,
I would like to thank you for your previous message in welcoming me to FFN. Its an honor and privilege to have join this site with all of you's. Have a great evening and a wonderful day tomorrow.
Louise,
You are a inspiration to me. i cannot use my left arm and hand. I would have loved to become a Firefighter and EMS. My husband and youngest son are on our local Fire department. I find giving of myself to the community, somehow makes me feel not so useless since I cannot work for the past ten years.
Thank You for adding me as a friend. I am looking forward to learning more through FFN.

There is also one with 5 FF's in their uniforms standing in front of a pumper, and 3 of a Boston engine with a 50 Cal. machine gun mounted on it. My address is sees@ptd.net
Lousie you asked me a quiestion last week. I thought I answered but I guess not. I didn't mean to ignore you. My husbands name is Boeing. His Grandfather was Wilhelm Boieng or Bill Boeing.
