Milan, I am not aware of a process or course that would accommodate you here in the US. However, that sure dosnt mean there isnt. You might post a discussion asking just that question. Be surprised what information you will get back.

    Hi Milan!

    Hi Milan!

I'm a firefighter with the West Albany Fire District (Department) in Albany County, New York. I'm also a member of New York Task Force 2 (USAR), and saw your comment on Rescue Junkies. In November, we had a week long, large training exercise near Buffalo, NY, during which five USAR teams (group of 40+ people)(from two states and one Canadian province), nine USAR squads (6 persons units)(from 9 other states), a large contingent of National Guardsmen, and a large contingent of US Air Force personnel participated. Almost everyone got their training in different places. There were also observers from the UK and Denmark. I suggest you contact Mr. Thomas Howard, Deputy Chief Special Services, New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control, 4240 Albany Street, Colonie, NY 12205. He can likely get you connected with an agency where you can get the training.
