A friend, and FF and EMT, Dave D. talked me into it......seriously... Plus while responding, in a support role, I learned that I needed to be more involved, I needed to be one of those guys in full PPE going into the building to find the fire. The quality of the character of the people on the fire brigade made me want to be one of them.
