    Hey Maddie,
well you know it's never to late to return to the dark side! I live in Alplaus, NY (12008) which is up-state from the island about 3 hrs. We are located 20 miles North-West of Albany-right outside the city of Schenectady. I'm a paramedic with a private EMS agency--> Mohawk Ambulance Service (www.mohakwambulanceservice.com). I like it-but not as much as being a Fire-Fighter. There's nothing more crazy, fun, adrenaline rushing, then running into a fire and fighting the flame. Our station is unique in that we really don't have crew assignments-due to lack of members. But we have 2 Engine's, 1 Rescue/EMS vehicle-->we don't transport just first response w/EMT's-->Mohawk transports and provides ALS. But the best piece of apparatus we have is a Water/Ice Rescue Airboat equipted w/550hp Corvet Racing engine capable of performing at speeds of 75+ on water & 90+ on ice. Yea you can't see it right now, but I'm smiling-that thing makes me happy!
Alright well speaking of the airboat we have to do a water standby today on the Mohawk river. But I hope the info helps,

Hey, what's up in Rhode Island? Quiet here in Ohio. The weekend was busy (about 9 calls and I ran about 7 of them). We had a storm last night and that made up most of the calls. How was your weekend? Hope all is well. Take care and stay safe.
