Why I Joined Fire/EMS: Alright...I have finally got to update this section!!! To start this whole thing out being a firefighter is a passion I have had since I was young. My uncle was a firefighter and it is just something I fell in love with. I ended up moving out of a bad community in Illinois and up to the dairy state! This community really build me up to be the person I am today and what is a better way to give back than serve your community and be passionate about what you do at the same time?
Why I Love Fire/EMS: Serving my community is what I do best.Who does not like all the action?
Top Issues Facing Responders:: I have come to learn that the community we serve does not take what we do seriously. Which, if you actually think about it presents a ton of issues!!

Hey Rae Ann, I was reading your profile and had to laugh cuz it was like looking into a mirror. I've always loved working out, being outdoors, riding quads, banging on my drumkit or playing the sax... oh yeah and the fire service lol

What else am I into??? Um... alot lol Well... I've wanted to be a FF for as long as I can remember so that just came natural. I grew up in a smaller town, about 6000 people, my best friend lived on a huge farm so I was always out there... still am. We fish alot, duck hunt ( I dont have the patience for anything else lol), ride quads and snowmobiles when the weather is right. IDK... just anything outdoors really. I'd ask you what you do but somehow I think I would get a response very close to my own lol. IDK hit me up sometime

fine and dandy. My 'brother' got back from kosovo today so all is great, I'll have pics of the ceremony up later. stayin good and dry too, at least as long as i don't go out, since your new in the service how's your training going anything better than others? I'm having to go through first responder and it sucks (I would rather put on a moon suit and play in the glowing stuff than check a blood pressure)

so ya'll run alota wild fires up there? thats one of our main things here but majority of them are controled burns. just wanderin since you say you have wildfire training.

well i know for sure that airforce has firefighters but im not sure about army...even though im in the army haha. im an engineer for right now but will probably reclass here in the next year before i go for officer school. if u have any questions about the military dont be afraid to ask

ahh, we do unfortunately 85% of our calls some 400 a year are mainly Ems, kinda cool though it must be nice not having to deal with the whole ems training and stuff.

It did take awhile to get into a class, but this close to the end of my tour, it was a good refresher of medical skills so I won't be so rusty when I get home. Take care and stay safe.

Hey girl, I just had a great idea!!!! You should come down to FDIC with me and a few other guys from my dept. IDK if you have ever been but if not, imagine one big city where all ff's meet to throw one huge party. Okay, got that in your head... multiply the fun by about 1000 and you got the city wide party friday night. The convention is really cool too. Should be even cooler in the stadium this year
