Other Past or Current Departments and Organizations
Many Dept. in Kansas, Iowa, Illioins, and Oklahoma. When ever I had to move for work or school, I found a Department to help with.
My Training:
FF1, KS-EMR, IA EMT-B, HAZ-MAT: Awareness, Cold and Ice Rescue, and to many more to list.
About Me:
I've been on some sort of emergency service work for almost 20 years. This includes working at a auto plant as a fire/emt/security officer, a steel mill as an EMT, and for 3 years with Medic EMS in Davenport,IA. Which is one of the largest services in Iowa.
Day Job:
UTI Logistics
Relationship Status:
Separated
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
My mom had a boyfriend who was a capt. on the local dept. She would take me down there and i got to (play) be a fireman driving the trucks to a "fire". From there on i've been "hooked".
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Helping people in need. And fighting fire.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
I have two things that up set me: #1 guys/dept's and don't train. Training is the most important that you can do. #2 Drinking @ the station,or going to call drunk. Why risk what could happen when you do.
