About Me:: I moved to Houghton Lake in December of 2008 from Shiawassee County. I'm happily divorced and the proud mother of no children. Apparently, I have enough sass for my entire department.

June of 2010 finished Firefighter I&II, and am currently working on my EMT-B with Denton Twp EMS.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: It's one of the few professions where they smile upon being just a little bit crazy.
Why I Love Fire/EMS: The commeraderie, knowing that you can help when someone is in a time of dire need, even if just a little.
Top Issues Facing Responders:: Politics and funding. Safety, including from training and proper equipment.
