About Me:
I am from Japan originally, and came to US in Sep 2000. I have been working for Douglas County Fire Department for 6 years. I love my job, I love my crew... I just love what I am doing now!
I also coordinate study-trips to Japanese Firefighters/EMTs who wish to learn about Fire Rescue and EMS in US. Anyone who would like to visit FDs in Japan, let me know I will connect you to them.
Hi Mari! Thanks for the invite! I love your video's, tho they make me miss Japan. My kids and I were happy living there, and even tho I've been back in the states since 98, I still miss it!
Mari
I absolutely loved living in Japan. My wife is from Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture and we have moved to Illinois for the time being. We really miss not being home this holiday season and will miss our first New Years away this year. I participated in quite a few new years parades and reviews while we were there also.
I'm doing great! and how are you doing? Hope all is going well down your way! Look forward to getting to know you more. How long have you lived in the US?
Hey doing good as well. Got called in this morning to work some at ems so I am off to that. Sounds like you had a great time teaching the class as well so take care and ttyl.
Hi Mari! I checked out the new video and left a comment. The new year is, so far, just like the old! I'm kept so busy, I hadly get a chance to just play on my computer; let alone check my mail! So replys may take awhile....as you can see. Maybe this will be the year I finally get my life organized!! (yeah, right!!) By the way, I love your music! I rarely listen to music while I'm on my comp, because it it just too distracting when I'm trying to hurry with whatever I'm doing. But this music is just soothing. I have kept it playing in the background while I work, and my girls were drawn in, and sat listening too. Have a BLESSED new year, and a GOD-filled life! Sincerely yours, Shear'on
Hey Mari hope you been doing wel nd that things in the big city of Douglas GA are going great as well. So take care and catch up with you later have a great day.
Hi! I'd love to take you up on getting hooked up with a Japanese FD... I'm planning on heading over there for a year beginning in July, so I should have a good amount of time.
Hi Mari,
I believe we met when you brought Koichi by our new station. The gift he gave was greatly appriciated. I hope the program goes well. Stop in and see us again.
Hola Sinorita,
Second try at this. I managed to delete the first one. To recap, we did determine that I would mentor you correct? Regardless, GOOD JOB! I am expecting good things out of you. Look at Stacie. She was a protege that outshines the master. HaHA! Ouch! I hurt my face. Do not forget that the next class is in July 14-18,2008 and that I am expecting you to assist. That means...BE THERE! I want you to see the group and learn from us. There is a funny side to all of this and that is when good medics go bad. It is an uncanny sight. Loss of fine motor skills, gross decompensation, impending doom, foot fungus, sleep dep, and mega smiles! Plus, I never get through a class without getting shot at least once or pulling some goofy stunt such as induced hypothermia and drowning(to be seen on youtube). Anyhow, on a serious note, If you need anything, do not hestitate to call. See you soon, stay safe.
Mari,
I lived in Japan for three years as a teenager and I have always been very curious about fire service over there and would love to hear about your experiences here. I would also be very interested in hearing about the guest program with Japan. I lived in Yokosuka, Yokohama and Atsugi and I think about Japan often.
Joe
And you do have family and friends in the USA. The Fire Department family is huge, and we take care of our own. Stay strong little sister we are here for you!

Hey there no problem. Did you get to see the pic I put up of the truck The Truck is named "Rosie's Engine" (The Spirit Of Ray City) I have just about every name on the truck of firefighters list in GA going back to the 1800's. If you would like to see pix of the truck I have them on my face book page or I can send them too you. This year we are pushing to get the word out about the truck, so we can share the experience with people. Do you have any pix of paul working on the job? Some names I have added pix to.
