EMT-B
About Me:
Partner in a small telecommunications contracting company in Houston. I have a wonderful wife and two fantastic children and we live in Jersey Village. I volunteer my time between the EMS and Church, work as little as possible and spend the rest of my time with my family. I am currently an EMT but attend Fire Academy starting next month.
There seems to be a lack of education in the general populous regarding First Aid, Self Care, Fire Prevention and how not to obstruct First Responders as they approach a scene whether it be an MVA or a structure fire etc.
Michael, Welcome to the FF Nation. I am glad you dropped in to join the group. Dont be shy. There is lots to do, read and be involved with. Your participation and involvement is important to us all. Takes a bit to kinda figure it all out but you will be glad you did. Have fun and look around.
Hello Michael! Thanks for the friend add. look forward to chatting with you and maybe help with any spiritual needs in your dept

Hi Michael,
Thanks for your words of encouragement and for forwarding my product to your admin staff. Every accident report includes the question, "How could this accident have been prevented?" Well, I hope this is one way. And, like you said, an entire engine can be outfitted for a couple hundred bucks and be much safer to the people who respond on it. What is that worth when you are low on air, lost, or separated from your crew? I also appreciate your enthusiasm for the job and for recognizing the important parts thereof. Keep up the good work.
In Faith,
Kevin
