Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Being a Firefighter has always been something I have wanted to do. My home towns, City and Rural Depts, where full so was never able to get on. So when moved to NewPlymouth, was able to get on with the local Fire Dept.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
The ability and comitment to serve My Comunity, the Friendship of My fellow Firefighters on Our Dept.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Training and Firefighter health issues, also lack of funding for smaller Depts. I also feel that there needs to be more support from Employers, when it comes to Employees that are Firefighters/EMTs. , to be able to leave work when a second padge comes in for help.
