On my days off with the fam however I travel, hunt, camp, shoot, play on the lake or in the snow. BBQ with fellow FF families. Stuff like that.

Why I Love Fire/EMS: You do what nobody else in your community can do. You solve problems. You also work side by side the best people in your community.
Top Issues Facing Responders:: Increased training/maintenance requirements on Volunteers. Volunteer recruitment and retention. Funding. AND in my little corner of the world, unregulated/competitive private service providers.
