    Yes, I am a nurse...started out in the military (ours) as a special forces medic...got grounded and decided that I couldn't work behind a desk..so I got out, became a nurse and worked as flight team member...the rest as they say is history...love EMS...been doing it forever...Fire end of it is fairly new...maybe 6 or 7 years now...but enjoy the heck out of it....and you...?

    I understand that....I started out in Burn ICU (10 years) then went to the ER (another 7) and when my mother got sick transferred here to help care for her...Now working in a Correctional Facility and doing Fire/Rescue in a Volunteer Department.....Spare time hobby.......what is "spare time".....? LOL

    We are closer than that....about 50 miles to Ft Drum....I would have to ask the Chief aout a ride-along....I am constantly amazed at the number of people that don't realize that there is soooooo much more to NY than just the city.....even our politicians forget about us up here....in fact if you look out my kitchen window you can see Canada across the river....LOL
