My Training:
FF1 and had Emt but it run out on me and lots of other valuable training that i have recived over the years way to much reall describe
About Me:
I have been in emergency services since 1998 i joined a volunteer fire dept as a junior firefighter, the reason i did was to get my foot in the door in the fire service, i dont know why i wanted to do it my only guess would be that i have always wanted to be a fireman since i was knee high to a grass hopper and never got over the stage of big shinny things that make lots of noise and go fast lol, but i can tell you that i love the emergency services and i dont think that i will ever get out of it completely and or could live my life with out it i love helping people in thier time of need and i dont care about the thankyous and what not its just a self gratification knowing that i did a good deed and made someone elses life in shamble a lil better.
Becasue i love helping others and putting thier needs above mine and i always wanted to do it since i was knee hight to a grasshopper
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Being able to help others in thier time of need and not thinking twice bout it
Top Issues Facing Responders:
the challenges in obtaining gear and training since the stuff changes every day and not revciving enough money to pay us for what we do and or buy equipment to helo us in our everyday working

Mrs Ritta Zimmer will always be missed but not forgotten for her dedication to the Onslow County Fire Service EMS Services and Special Incident Response Services please give your prayers for the men and women of Onslow County Emergency Services and the friends and family of mrs Ritta Zimmer
I'm in Lexington County, which is right across the Congaree River from Columbia. All Lexington County fire stations have volunteers. The municipal departments in West Columbia and Cayce do not.
If you are moving to Richland County, where the city of Columbia is located, the fire stations in the county there have volunteers.
The remaining counties in the area (Kershaw, Sumter, Fairfield, Calhoun) are mostly volunteer.

i live right down the road from half moon, write now i am just up here for work i have decided if i want it to be a permanent move yet.. cause right now were at the Marine corps air station... I heard jacksonville and Camp Lejune are hiring so i am gunna look into that
yeah i live on gum branch in rain tree so that would be great if they put of a new station there.. and i am already govt. employed and have clearance on the bass from the navy and stuff cause i work at the air station our job is about 80 million... and i know alot of them govt people first i would like to go over there and check out the station ya know
yeah when i went and talked to them at half moon at station 5 i noticed there helments were kinda backwards cause i have always had a black helment and i am used to SCOTT and MSA air packs i think they said they use survivor air or something like that.. i haven't ever heard of it.. so i am gunna have to do some research
