    Thanks Harry.

Thanks for the add Dave. I joined at 42 in 1992. The pirsch was the first engine I rode, and BX42 were the first pieces I rode. Great pics.
  • Tiger Schmittendorf

    Thanks Dave -

I'll take your offer under consideration. You run a great site and a great service. Keep up the good work.

    Stay safe. Train often.
  • Marc Bouchard

    Dave,

I will try to keep you posted about the Durham can opener, but normally I read about it on your site first.

    stay safe
    Marc
  • Dave Statter

Thanks Marc. As you see, I am easily amused.
  • Jeff

    Dave,
You have a great site. I visit it daily and get all the guys from work to check
it out. Now....Find some news in Maine to post there, could you? I know...
not much happens up here! Keep up the great work.
  • Christopher Hebert

Whats with all these fine comments below about your work? You have really got people fooled with all this stuff huh?

So you beat me here by three hours? I would have signed up a year ago if FFN was not considered a "competitor". What was your excuse? ;o)

Doc is doing the right thing, Mr. Ward on the other hand should have taken some lessons from Doc...LOL

So when you going to take me out to lunch, you can get us all with one quick trip up 95?
  • Dave Statter

    Chris,

You can fool some of the firefighters all of the time and all of the firefighters some of the time. Isn't that what you have based your career on?

Yes, these people say nice things about me because clearly STATter 911 doesn't try to pander to the masses. We aim for the cream of the crop. The people who can't be fooled. They prove just how smart they are each time they type in www.STATter911.com.

That said, since you were once gainfully employed (and now look at you), I guess I will have to spring for lunch. Anytime. My contact info is the same, but I don't have yours.

BTW, I think Doc will come around. He certainly meets the criteria of being the best and will fit right in with the rest of the STATter 911 crew.

    Dave

    Dave,
Thanks for adding me as a friend. I cant wait to tell everybody!!
  • Ed Schwartz Jr

Thanks, I love your articles. I try to keep up with them, keep up the good work

1313 Southern Ave is now demolished much like a lot of the other structures in the first due you guys used to burn all the time. The apartment building is infact St. Moritz Dr.
Where were you today?? We ran 1003 Marcy Ave. Walked onto the front ramp and saw fire through the roof.
  • Dave Statter

I was listening to 1003 Marcy while on another story. I missed your initial call, but picked it up a minute or so later. Sounded like you guys knocked down quite a bit of fire before anyone else got there. I wrote it up for STATter 911 - http://www.wusa9.com/news/columnist/blogs/2008/11/who-needs-911-just-follow-your-nose.html

Read your blog all the time. I check it almost every day. Very informative and entertaining. I also like how it is so frequently updated.
  • Dave Statter

Thanks Capkurt. The comments are appreciated. I gave up sleeping years ago. It is greatly overrated.

  • Timothy S. Delehanty

Glad to hear all is well with you and the family. Watch those comments about old farts, if you can remember this stuff that means that you qualify as well. Stay safe

It's pretty funny but I picked up the link to the FFN "experiment" on your blog a little over a year ago (I think I was in the first 1000 to sign up). In fact, I have the STATter 911 site as the answer to "How I Got Here". There's quite a few more on here now.

    Nice blog, by the way.
  • Donnie Eller

    Hey dave
thanks for the and and welcome to FFN
  • Peter Lupkowski

Thanks for STATter 911. It's my lunch read every day- I got tired of reading the WSJ and explaining why I was crying. The recent Delaware items are extremely thought provoking.
