Hi Dave
Welcome from Central NY and I also enjoy your site!! Thanks for your hard work.........BTW love the classic pics!!and we ran a similar Seagrave stick for a few years too. Harry
Dave,
You have a great site. I visit it daily and get all the guys from work to check
it out. Now....Find some news in Maine to post there, could you? I know...
not much happens up here! Keep up the great work.
You can fool some of the firefighters all of the time and all of the firefighters some of the time. Isn't that what you have based your career on?
Yes, these people say nice things about me because clearly STATter 911 doesn't try to pander to the masses. We aim for the cream of the crop. The people who can't be fooled. They prove just how smart they are each time they type in www.STATter911.com.
That said, since you were once gainfully employed (and now look at you), I guess I will have to spring for lunch. Anytime. My contact info is the same, but I don't have yours.
BTW, I think Doc will come around. He certainly meets the criteria of being the best and will fit right in with the rest of the STATter 911 crew.
1313 Southern Ave is now demolished much like a lot of the other structures in the first due you guys used to burn all the time. The apartment building is infact St. Moritz Dr.
Where were you today?? We ran 1003 Marcy Ave. Walked onto the front ramp and saw fire through the roof.
I was listening to 1003 Marcy while on another story. I missed your initial call, but picked it up a minute or so later. Sounded like you guys knocked down quite a bit of fire before anyone else got there. I wrote it up for STATter 911 - http://www.wusa9.com/news/columnist/blogs/2008/11/who-needs-911-just-follow-your-nose.html
Glad to hear all is well with you and the family. Watch those comments about old farts, if you can remember this stuff that means that you qualify as well. Stay safe
Tim
It's pretty funny but I picked up the link to the FFN "experiment" on your blog a little over a year ago (I think I was in the first 1000 to sign up). In fact, I have the STATter 911 site as the answer to "How I Got Here". There's quite a few more on here now.
Thanks for STATter 911. It's my lunch read every day- I got tired of reading the WSJ and explaining why I was crying. The recent Delaware items are extremely thought provoking.
Dave, I am sorry it took this long to start looking at your website! Great Stuff!! I like heraing from a "stright shooter" it's great! Please keep up the great work and I do appericate it!! I love the old photos because I'am old fire dog!

So you beat me here by three hours? I would have signed up a year ago if FFN was not considered a "competitor". What was your excuse? ;o)
Doc is doing the right thing, Mr. Ward on the other hand should have taken some lessons from Doc...LOL
So when you going to take me out to lunch, you can get us all with one quick trip up 95?
