About Me:
I'm a 24-year-old EMT-I and Fire fighter... both volunteer. I worked in Hartford for Aetna Ambulance for a few months and am planning on pursuing a career as a fire-medic and eventually moving to Arson Investigation.

I'm short and fun and I'll prove ANYONE who doesn't think I'll make a damn good fire-medic wrong...

I love fire fighting, I love proving to skeptics that a short, 5'3" Asian WOMAN can do the job of a firefighter and I love proving to myself that I can do things even I thought I couldn't.

I'm a firefighter/ EMT for my vol. fire dept. and I'm an EMT- I and FTO for my ambulance corp. Between both vol. jobs, I commit a minimum of 40 hours per week to station duty and am on call every "free" night I have and most of the day to respond to either department.

I'm in school for a B.S. in special studies- emergency services which is focused on courses related to fire science and paramedicine. I then plan on pursuing my Paramedics license/ A.S. and an A.S. in fire science before moving on to an M.S. in fire science.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I grew up with fire fighters and EMS in my family. I loved what they did and have wanted to join them since I was 2. Now I have, and I couldn't be happier.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
it's exciting... it's fulfilling... it's freakin awesome!
Top Issues Facing Responders:
1) If we have all this new technology that's suppossed to keep us safe, why do we kill the same # of firefighters every year???

2) Violence against EMTs/ medics- increase of violent EDPs/ ETOHs & drug abusers

3) Safety of responders on roadways
