I have numerous certifications... Local, county, state, and federal. Firefighter 1, various extrication courses, national certified Fire Instructor. Fire Investigation. I am currently a County Fire Instructor.

About Me:
The thing that I want people to know about me is that I am passionate about firefighting! I don't see "Paid v.s. Volunteer" I see a Brotherhood. Not everyone is a Brother, I'm sorry but the difference is how you approach the job. You can tell in someone's face and in their actions if they are a brother! You know when someone wants to go on a job, not just go do a job! How they train or drill, or just go through the motion's. Brother's do H.O.T. training while the T-shirt wearer's go to convention's. If you know me than you know what I am about, If you don't understand then you probably never will.
Day Job:
Motorized Equipment Operator- Town Of Tonawanda Highway Dept.
Relationship Status:
In a Relationship
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
it looks good on resume's! Bullshit, I am an adrenaline junky. You think it but I'll say it. My family has been doing it for four generation's.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
The brother hood in the fire service! For the those who read this and don't understand.... It is not about the paycheck or the pride, paid vs. volunteer, IT IS ABOUT THE PASSION!!! I know many career firefighters and I know a ton of volunteer firefighters. My brothers do it all out of passion. You can hear it in their voice, see it when they do whatever task there is a "JOB". A brother is a brother... through and through.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Politics!!!!!!!! Not enough politicians working with us or for us! To many law's being created by the suit's all over making our job's tougher by the day.
Randy I appreciate that very much, I immediately said to myself I think I like riding on the truck with water. Any way thanks for all of the help, hopefully I will see you agian during the next week while all of the boss's are gone.
Thanks Randy, It was great to hear from you. Hoping to get to Tonanwanda to make my rounds & visit everyone. If your ever in the area drop a line or swing by the hall. I'll be sure to extend your hello's to both Wally & Eric. It's awsome to be working with these guys I have learned alot, but some days I do miss being under the command of Tonawanda's finest fire attackers...lol. If you could please let anyone who asks know that I am on this site & they can feel free to contact me. Looking forward to hearing from all. Thanks again. Rob
Yes, nothin worse then going on a call, stepping out of the truck and ending up on your ass. Now I prefer sitting on the couch, fireplace goin and playing on the computer. Hope we get to sleep tonight without an early wake up fromthe friendly PSD.
"The sun is shining and the birds are chirping"...
It took a committee about an hour to get the headlights turned on on out Ladder truck last week - some kind of computer glitch that was resolved in the last update that Crimson didn't install before delivery...
Is that Kenmore plow operator OK? Did he fall asleep?
OK, apparently that was taken out of context, and some people took it personally. That Wasn't my intention to bash anyone, or anyplace, so let's try this again. Brighton is a different feel. After 15 years, I think the change will do me good. I really like it so far, and I think that I will only like it more as time goes on.
Nipple Heads is a good term...I was thinking more along the lines of PUSSY TWINS...apparently they brought it up at the Co. meeting last night, and the jr. pussy twin, you know, the one who stole money from the cash drawer? He wants me thrown out of exempts...THAT is exactly the shit I was talking baout in that message, so thanks guys for proving my point!
Jersey Is doing DirTy... LoL.. No jobs and bored out of my freakin mind !!! But hey FDIC is coming soon so get on the bunkers and get sweaty with me..HeHe ,.,, Im so excited ..Can you Tell?!?!?!?! Stay Sfae and have a good holiday!!
Thanks Randy, the benefit was a huge success and we pray that it will be able to provide some assistance to Jon Jon. There are few words to describe how much appreciation we all have for the team effort that made this fund raise a success. 340 peopel signed in to volunteer. All local emergency services pulled together and assisted. Just like managing a disaster, when we needed something a call was placed and someone came thru with the needed resources. There are too many people to thank, but I can say that our brother and sister FF from Sheridan Park did there part and I am proud of the effort thay gave. A big thank you to all.
I'll be up there the weekend of the 14th of June for a family function, I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make it into town. If I can or do I will contact you and let you know.
Instructor Rider, so nice to see you on the Nation! Great job so far in class, funny how you pick-up little helpful hints in fighting a fire! You surly can never have enough training!!!!
Randy, thanks again for your offering. It is greatly appreciated. I should be decked out by Friday afternoon so I will return it to you as soon as I have everything installed. Stay low and Stay SaFe!
thanks and bootcamp was a blast! i want to do it all over again! i don't want to brag, but i kicked butt in class! and i will definitely tell my dad you said hi!
I am home! Just thought I drop you a line to let you know I am back in Tonawanda & back at River Road. I am back home where I belong....lol. I got the mesage about the November 8th event. I am trying to rearrange my schedule to attend. Drop by the hall sometime or swing by the house it's right across the way from the hall. Hope all is great over there at Sheridan Park!
