P.S. on my last, I am running a 5K in Buffalo on Wednesday the 6th with one of my Chiefs and his wife. I like Siesta Key and Key West, but have taken my kids to Disney World 5-6 times. I love palm trees, sand and seabreeze!

Yeah and my batt chief is a cage fighting kind of guy. So our training here revolves around flexibility, strength and agility. Funny how those all blend right into our job...right?
Lets just say 3pm is not a fun hour. But even the guys who never worked out are getting into it.

There are many that don't take physical fitness serious enough and then they wonder why people are having heart attacks a lot of the time on scene, I think it is unacceptable to be in this line of work and not be in good physical condition. Hope you stay safe nice chatting with you.

Have you considered the Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge for you and your department? There is an event in Hallandale FL. in May. Check out their web-site Scott Combat Challenge. Once you get to the "Worlds" event in November you are basicially talking left with world class athletes.
