Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I joined for the people. I am so sick of hearing other firefighters gripe and complain about having to go on some B.S. call. Remember why you joined. Can you? It was to give service to the people of the district right? If you dont like it, you know where the door is. Its just as easy to get out as it is to get it. Also, if you didnt get in for the people, maybe you're in for the wrong reason. Evaluate you're presence on the Department. Do you belong?
Jason, welcome to the Nation. I am glad you dropped in to Join. Your participation and involvement here is important to us all. Dont be shy just jump in and get your feet wet. Lots to do, read and be involved with here. You will get out of this what you put into it. Have fun and get into it.
Welcome, Jason. You will have a lot to review on this site as it does provide excellent information regarding the fire science/ems career field. Be sure to ask questions, start discussions, and join in on any topics you feel necessary as you will expand your learning horizons. I guess I basically said what Chief Sharp said below, but heck, it's worth saying again. Feel free to contact me if I can be any help to anything. Talk to later. Take care in the meantime.
