Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I joined the rescue squad after getting my EMT. once i turned 18 i joined the fire dept.

Cheaper construction, and our own fault is not refreshing our memory on training.

    thats cool, I go to the community college in danville.
    I took my firefighter 1 test like 2 years ago, it wasn't bad but I was really nervous. I'm probably taking firefighter 2 next year.

    haha I can understand that. my dad is the chief of our department, but he always says he doesn't care if I pass or not as long as I try. I'm sure you'll do fine :)

    Thats good, I'm glad it went ok.
    Are you in the volunteer or paid dept? or both?
    In the picture you have in your slideshow of the people at the wrecked car, which one are you? And is that actually a wreck or like an extrication class?

    Oh, thats awesome. Our department is just volunteer, so thats what I am. We don't have the rescue part either. We run first responder, but we don't transport. I don't have any ems training cause I don't really like blood and I'd be to nervous if I had to work on somebody, so I just do the report writing on those calls. I officially became the secretary of the department on the 1st. Do you ever plan on becoming paid or do you just want to stay volunteer? I used to want to join Danville, but then I decided just being volunteer would be nicer. I've also considered joining the forestry dept, but I don't know what all is involved in getting into that around here.
    My display picture is the only one I have on here. When I first joined I couldn't figure out how to do more than one, and I never tried after that. I have like 10 on myspace though. Do you have that?

    ok thanks I added you on there. Forestry would probably be better for me than trying to get on with danville cause I wouldn't think you'd need EMT for forestry.
    How long does it take you to get to danville when you come?
