My Training:
After 5 long years of busting my hump, and hundreds of hours, I've finally finished all my classes for my Level 2 Firefighters Cert. I'm so excited, I never thought I'd actually get it done. Just waiting now on that coveted piece of paper to get here.
About Me:
Just ask me, I'll either answer, or at least make up something real good!! J/K
Relationship Status:
Married
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
There are several members of my family who have either retired from or are still in the "service" and it has just always been in my blood, and a part of my life.I'm the third generation of firefighters in my family and I'm proud to be carrying on the tradition!!
Why I Love Fire/EMS
What else? Fighting fire, and being able to help people.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
As a member of a small rural volunteer department, the main issue I see is the growing demands the state/county puts on us. The days of the "good old boy" ways of fighting fire is over. and it's a shame, because we all have our normal day jobs we have to go to, add in families on top of that, and it just does not leave enough time to be able to devote to the training requirements asked of us now days.
Welcome to FFN I'm sure you'll meet alot of great people here we are all one big family. From north carolina here also keep in touch and be safe out there.
