About Me:
Well let me see here....I have been involved in the volunteer fire service since 2000 and became an EMT in 2001. I was asked to join my current department in 2001 and have been ther ever since. I left District # 4 in 2005 because running with 2 departments was so stressful and it was taking a toll on me. I am the Association Treasurer of the Glenoma Firefighters Assoc. and I am the grant writer for the department. I recently have been appointed the departments Equipment Officer.
As of October 2011 I have returned to District #4 to assist them and to see if I can do the two department thing again.
As far as my personal life....I currently live between Morton and Glenoma. I work part time as an NAC at the local hospital. I am the proud mother of 2 cats (yes I said cats) and outside the department enjoying spending time with family and friends.
Day Job:
NAC
Relationship Status:
Single
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
My friend convinced me it would be someting cool to do and I fell for the volunteer fire service and have been completely commited to it since then.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I take pride in helping people who need it and being involved in an organization that here to serve the community we live in.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Keeping up with the ever changing technology and NFPA regulations. As far as the volunteer departments, just trying to get by with little money and trying to keep up with the ever changing fire service.
