Other Past or Current Departments and Organizations: I started on a great volunteer department in eastern Urbana, in 1989. The Edge-Scott F.P.D. was a great place to start out for me, especially at the time I did. I had several great mentors there, the majority of whom are full time professional firefighters across the state of Illinois and the nation.
My Training:: I've had plenty, and continue to do so. I don't like to brag and throw around different certifications that don't really mean squat unless you learn from them.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: Started out as something to do while a senior in High School, and I realized that it was the best thing ever, and now I get paid to have fun.
Why I Love Fire/EMS: Where else can you do something as crazy as going into a burning building, and have so much FUN doing it??
