Well if anything, what I got out of this was the chance to read the literary work of Mark Twain in the body of a fireman named Brandon Roark. Your summation of my intentions was succinct and well thought out...

Except... resource typing terminology is for accurate paper pushing and getting paid, that does not forgo our ability to use regionalized terminology, in fact, good luck trying to stop it.

Your words about tradition and the fire service is so true. I know that where you work, you've got at least 100 years of service and traditions. I hope someday to be able to travel through your part of the world to say hi.

In the meantime by friend, stay safe and always be yourself. What a pleasure to have been able to meet and listen to your philosophy. I find it refreshing.

My best, Mike from Santa Barbara

By the way, with resource typing issues being the topic here, what would you consider this?
