About Me:
I am a 19 year old guy. I am basically a multi use tool for the fire department. If its done on a scene, I usually do it. I have a awesome chief and captain as well as fellow firefighters at my station I would easily trust my life with in a heartbeat. I am still workin on college as well as working full time. I am in a holding pattern till 21 to try to attempt to get onto a paid department.
Day Job:
Opthamology Tech (Fancy words for I help patients in an opthamalgists office)
Relationship Status:
Single
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I joined the fire department initially because I wanted to be cool, prove people wrong that I could do it, and to put lights on my truck. Needless to say my first call, a search and rescue, hit me pretty hard. I found out that I love firefighting. I love dropping doing whatever I am doing and running to help a person in need. I love being able to count on my partners to have my back no matter what and me get theirs no matter the cost. I would "cowboy up" as we say and run into a fire to pull my partner out and I know they would do the same for me. I recently found I also love ems work. Theres is nothing like helping a person when their at their worst and making their day a little easier.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I think i covered that in why I wanted to be a firefighter.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
For volunteers in our department, its the constant riffs, just like every other department, between stations, departments, paid ff and volunteers, gas prices, equipment, money.

yes, I work at both departments. Camp Robinson full time and Oak Grove volunteer. I know Steven Craig from camp and of course various classes. I only know Miles by his name. We haven't officially met.
