oh my goodness, that would be so neat to have, how did you loose them during the divorce, did she take them or did they get misplaced? I also love the civl war artifacts etc, and I live right down the road from fort donalson ( one of the battlegrounds)...not so much about the north verses the south, just the civil war artifacts and stories etc is what has me so intrigued. I do hope this finds you and your loved ones well and safe and your not working to hard... Have a great evening dear..
Hello....Siren just had me read the whole "Harem Saga"....whew! Exhausting I must admit. Just wanted to let you know I appreciate your wit. Funny stuff!
I have...yes. I just love to read and sit back and listen to the vast majority of the conversations. Occasionally I feel the need to give a bit of my own insight but for the most part, remain a member of the peanut gallery. Yikes...showing my age with that!
Jim, about your friend with a back problem...I suffered from back problems for a while due to bad habits from my days as a tire changer in a truck shop. I went to see a (sorry for the spelling!) chiropractor 2 years ago.. I haven't had a problem since! I just tried out for a job as a full time firefighter and I've never felt better. The other thing I do is a lot of core training at the gym, Try to keep him on the up and up, if that dosen't work give him the same swift kick in the ass I got! I was hardheaded over my problem... The swift kick in the ass was the best thing to ever happen to me! Good luck! Anything I can do just message me. -Matt
Sorry I didn't respond on the second part of your message the other day. To say things are a little hectic here right now would be an understatement. I can understand the frustration and concern that can come from being injured and how it's hard to stay motivated when sometimes it feels like there isn't a reason to be upbeat. But I know from my own experiences that there are reasons to be positive because I think positivity begets positivity and if you stay focused and stay motivated, its likely that you will move in the direction you want to go, and that forward motion is what helps you keep your head in the game.
During the six weeks when my middle daughter was in the NNICU, when we even had an inkling of doubt, we could look around us at the good work the staff was doing there at the Medical University and know that she was in good hands. But what's more, is it helped us to realize all of the good that is out there and how people brought to you to help you through tough times were brought there out of God's love for us and they are His way of telling us to hang in there and to stick with the fight.
I met an old man who was homeless after Katrina and in one of my less insightful moments, I said, "you know, sometimes it's hard to wonder what God is thinking when we go through these disasters". The old man looked right at me and said, "This is the best thing that ever happened to me. All of these wonderful people God has sent here to me, makes me realize how much He loves me and cares for me." Talk about a matter of perspective!
We will keep you all in our prayers and hope for a speedy recovery. Please let us know if we can help.
I miss you guys so much! Theres a fire station about a half mile away and I every day while I'm sitting in class I have to hear the torture of the Q wailing in the distance...
I'm having a blast here ( on the weekends:) they cage you up all week and then release you in to the crazyness of San Antonio... I think I'm having TOO much fun... I never get carded ;)
my old sim card wont adapt to my new nextel... and I dont have my old charger, so I dont have anybodys phone numbers. Chicky was sopossed to mail me a charger... could you try to catalyze his lazy butt! and he was sopossed to mail me two small tshirts from the bike show...
thank you for your kind heart dear....sorry this is so late, this is my first chance to be online since I sent the message out. please be safe out there as I care....truly.
Thanks lol. I'm fully recovered from my syncopal episode from this morning, but the doctor said it'll be probably another 5-7 days before I'm over the virus :-(
Hey Jim! How are things out East? A bit dryer than we I hope! It seems to be either pouring down rain, ripping tornadoes or unbearably hot....no cool Spring days for us this year.
Hey Hey! 4 weeks and counting... Its not too bad here, but then again that is in comparision to boot camp. Hell wouldn't be too bad either I guess:) during the week is alright, it sucks about half of the time. But on the weekends... Watch out San Antonio, this place is nothing but one big party! I still cant wait to come home, I miss you guys
Hey Jim! The heat is quite hard on them actually. Horses are funny, sometimes when we're on the road they won't drink the water because it "tastes funny", I've even had to flavor water for them, apple of course!
My goodness, look at those pictures, little jimmy isnt so little anymore!
Your one hard man to see... I'll be at my first training back on monday, you better be there... all the guys (minus travis, he doesnt have a penis, so he doesnt count) at the station are taking me out for my birthday this friday- call up the babysitter, were getting wasted! I want to hit up 21 bars for a 21 beer salute! I might even take a shot of soco with you!!
You REALLY need to check out the fire departments group, your artwork last friday night is up on a discussion board...I might have lost a friend, or at the least started a war, but we all got a good laugh, and thats what matters the most:)
