My Training:
All Fire Training has been through Arkansas Fire Academy and Lake Hamilton Fire Department and Arkansas Department of Emergency Management
All Emergency Management training has been through FEMA and Arkansas Department of Health
About Me:
I am 54 years old. A registered nurse. I am the mother of 2 grown children ages 35 and 30 with a stepson of 5 years of age and a granddaughter 7 years of age. I enjoy the Fire Service and especially like Emergency Management. I currently volunter for the Lake Hamilton Fire Protection Association. I serve as the Health & Safety Administrator, a Training officer for First Responders and a CPR instructor for American Heart Association.

I serve as a member of the Board of Directors for Lake Hamilton Fire Protections Association.

I also volunteer for The Smith House (shelter for domestic violence) and currently serve as a member of the Board for The Smith House.

I also volunteer as a summer camp nurse at Camp Taneko which is a Methodist Church camp.

I am actively involved in my community through work related activities with Health Hot Spring County Coalition.

When not volunteering with other things I love to shop for antiques in flea markets. I also love to refinish furniture and presently I am redoing an old farmhouse on Hwy 7 in Hot Springs. This will be a cottage done in a Tractor theme, (ie Farmall, John Deere, etc) and I will rent the cottage out to people coming to visit Hot Springs.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I wanted to volunteer and assist in helping my community because we are about 15 to 20 minutes away from the nearest hospital.
