Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I had recently graduated from college and was working in Corporate America as an Engineer; I absolutely hated it. I have always been a hands on people person, and when someone told me the fire department was hiring, I figured I'd give it a whirl. I have not looked back since that day over 14 years ago. I absolutely love my job.
