I love to help people, ride roller coasters, read, go to the club, and sleep. I am 5"3', a blonde with green eyes, I'm training in order to be fit and ready for boot camp.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Desire to help others! I plan on spending the rest of my life in careers that are based on helping others by way of the medical field, and EMS was just a class that I figured would help me get into the college of my choice. I never planned in falling in love with it, but I'm glad I did.......and throught the EMS class I found the FireFighting class that I am now in......
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I get to really truely help people, and I've made so many friends in this field....
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Not enough experience from my point of view, and not enough bed side manner.
I joined when I was 16, I'm 43 now, would'nt know life without the fire service. My kids Son (10), and daughter (7) eat and sleep fire dept. sometimes I think they would rather be there with me than eat when they're hungry....ever have any questions, let me know.
ill get some more pics up soon i promise! my aim is clemsontigerpimp if you wanna message me sometime? i also have a facebook if oyu would like to add me there

20, i dont really know how old you have to be to take it here but i was under the impression that you had to be 18 could be wrong though didnt really research it much.
well, i took the class when i was 18 and then i failed my first practical and decided not to retake it, so i'm waiting for opportunity to present itself and get off of working nights plus the part time at the firehouse at the same time and then i have to decide whether i'm going to retake it or if i'm going to go for my rn and bridge over to medic
I&II are a breeze, well in missouri at least. some of the classes are boring depending on the teacher but for the most part i had fun. i kinda grew up around it all and sat through a lot of the classes before so it was all sort of redundant for me which made a lot of the classes lack the interest required to hold my attention so i just stopped going to class and talked the instructor into just letting me take the slide show whenever i had time "because i work nights" so i didnt do anything but take the tests and now here i sit. i know that when i was actually taking the class there was a guy that already had his I&II but had to retake it because he got his in wisconsin and you apparently cant challenge the test in missouri.
for me they were pretty easy, the hardest part was remembering to do it the state way as opposed to the real way in the practicals. and traffic safety was retarded because i didnt include closing the door behind me. they over simplified a lot of stuff which in turn made it more difficult. how did you decide you wanted to follow this career path?
