    Dereck: We find that the "troops" really enjoy the practical stuff, "the basics". We do it in the form of "Real Time" scenerios or firefighting relays. Just time each objective. I find that each group wants to do it faster then the group before. While speed is the goal, effeciency and safety are always important. The timer puts a sense of urgency that training night don't have that emergency calls do. Try that. Good Luck.
