My name is Stephen. I am a 23 year old quadriplegic with a disability cerebral palsy. I have always been interested in the emergency service field since I was young.
I'm proud to be a part of the emergency services family.
I feel that there are major issues facing responders today. One of these major issues is the lack of personnel that volunteer fire companies/departments are faced with on a daily basis. This is the same factor that volunteer EMS associations are faced with as well. Pay personnel are always available to respond whenever they are dispatched to an incident. Volunteer departments have to rely on citizens that may have previous jobs or commitments that they are attending.
