Top Issues Facing Responders:: income and pay structure. As the younger generation starts to think about their future they may not be interested in this career path due to the low income. The hours of school that is required almost makes it not worthwhile

Yeah your welcome. And thats good to hear haha. I wish I had 4 days off to do whatever I wanted and not have to worry about the job. Im doing good though, I am trying to stay safe and do the best I can.

My regular Dept. works 24 on and 48 off. Im working for the state the 48 off with the Mississippi Forestry Commission (wild fire and forest fire). I like it but im about to go to another Dept. and stay there hopefully. I want to quit the forestry because we dont make much money unless we go out west and work with the U.S. Forestry. All of that is a pain in the ass so im about to get away from them.
