Why I Joined Fire/EMS: My Dad was a JACKSON Police Officer for almost 30 years , I grew up around the lights and sirens but the Big Red trucks looked like more fun than those lil' ol' Police cars.

Soap and water??? OMG thats sick... Itsbeen Beautiful up here as well, walkingthe dog at night in jus a hoodie so there..nyah .. lol.. Now, Today its a balmy 11 degrees at sunup with 30mph gusts windchill etc.. But , I'm happy with the cold,.Only had a single run Lastnight a
shortcircut, great meal and a nice quiet shift for the first in maybe 6 that were quiet.. Crap we justspent thelast 3 dayshifts Doing Emt reserts , every day we gotout of class went onduty and caught something....lol stay safe..

Oh well, someday soon it will be torando weather here & I'll be out in the Jeep storm spotting. I took the wife once last year, scaird the bajezus outta her. An 18 wheeler was blown into a ditch a mile from our location. She hasn't gone with me since?

How's things going? I think the spring thaw is a coming. It hasn't been too bad here. I'm getting ready to do the big move for my son this weekend. So, I'll be up in South Dakota.

Hey Rik, Daytona sounds kind of like sturgis some years, freezing and wet. It's supposed to snow here tonight, guess it will be a while longer till I get the bike out. It was decent last weekend, we did a controlled burn on a house. went pretty good, the wind came up before we got done, but we had cornfields all around, so it couldn't go anywhere. I posted some new pics on my page of the burn. Hope things are good and quiet down south tonight, take care and stay safe

It's still flat in the delta and the blues are still going strong. Zoo crew huh?! Been a long time since I was out that way. Family still lives in Fondren area though. I lived near sta 17 growing up and can still here 'em winding on that Q coming down Ridgewood. Ya'll be careful down there and holler at us if u get in the flat land.

Hey Rik,
Just got done burning some burgers on the grill.
After I got home from a fire. Had a controlled burn at a local nursery, burn into a grove of Christmas trees heading for woodland area.
I did some rough ridin on the back of the ol attack truck, it's been a while. Closest thing to bronch or bull ridin I've ever done. Haven't been thrown in a while.

Hey Rik!
Howdy on this beautiful Sunday morning!
I just got home from truck training at the station. We do that every once in a while to bring new FF's up to speed & our medical people, so they could get the apparatus to the scene and get it set up, while the rest are driving from their places of work to the fire scene. It also never hurts us who normally do it, just to practice when we're not in a hurry.
Anyway, I haven't gave you a shout for a few days. I'm enjoying vacation. Been busy however, so I need to slow it down a bit or it will be over before I know it.

Morning Rik,
Just stopped by to say, had a great night for racing, I've got the fever for it now and what a show.
Of Course Eric was having a bad night for the main event. However in his heat race he came in second. Had a couple good crashes one happened so fast it took a moment for everyone to react.. One car flew right off the #3 turn and ended up on his top, he was rushed to a nearby hospital and should be O.K.. I'll have to slip out to the race track more often.
