To make a difference. I joined the pipeband to show my pride and heritage. I wanted to support the families of fallen brothers while celebrating traditions within the fireservice. Promoting healing and honor but also enjoying fellowship with my brothers who perform as piper/drummers.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
its who I am and would be lost without the job. I like being the "go to guy" under fire
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Complacency, apathy... a loss of focus and love for the job. The traditions are still there if you're still intrested in knowing what they are. Man has been putting out fire since before he knew how to make it and mistakes still keep happening that have happened previously. I wish I only played old retiree funerals and parades but its not the case.
welcome to FF nation .. Happy to finally see some other active bandies here .. If you look hard enough thereare currently 3 fire band groups here, None are terribly active but there is interest in what we do.. on many levels
