Came "off the street" in 2001 and joined the department with no idea what to expect! I have taken numerous classes, attended seminars and just talked to other firefighters and learned a lot!!

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Originally? An apartment building behind my house was fully involved and one of the firefighters let me talk on the radio(I was around 6-7 years old). Watching them in action do what they do got me hooked. After leaving the service(Army 8 1/2 years) and returning back home I joined because after seeing what I saw in the Army and doing what I did, I just want to help people whenever I can!

Why I Love Fire/EMS

Lights, sirens, driving fast and not stopping for stop signs!! J/K!! Being a part of the team that helps my neighbors when they are in need
