I became a member of Huntington County Rescue when they decided to put the old rescue truck at our Fire Station to have a unit close to the Interstate. I figured the truck was going to be at our station, so I wanted to know how to use the tools on it and be able to respond with it as well.

About Me:

I grew up all my life being a Tomboy, always liked playing with Hotwheels and Tonka Trucks more than dolls. But at the same time I like Girly things. (Do fire helmets come in pink?) I have too many hobbies to list, but my favorites are crafts of all kinds, shooting archery, bow hunting, fishing, camping, drawing, painting, driving in demolition derby's, being a firefighter and last but not least, being a Mom to my 3 boys! (Love you guys!)

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I grew up next door to 2 very influential people, who inspired me to want to do the jobs they did. I got to go to Mock Disasters with them and be the victim, and loved it. I worked as a Dispatcher right out of High School, but relationships and children put off my dream of one day working in Emergency Services. So now that my boys are older and can fend for themselves, it's Mom's turn to have a dream come true. Oh, and Thanks Keith and Claudia for being the role models that you were.
