    Hi
I'm the wife of a retired (29 yr) firefighter, and I got my EMT license in 2003. I'm a horse safety specialist, an author, and I teach CERT and CPR. I've written a book on large animal rescue -- how to remove an animal from entrapment. With only one percent of all emergency responders familiar with working around critters, the likelihood of serious injury to rescuers, the critters, and bystanders is staggering. I've built a LAR website at www.saveyourhorse.com. It lists classes in animal specialties for emergency responders. Please check it out and learn all you can about keeping yourself safe around animals. You'll be glad you did when you need to respond to a cow in a well, an overturned trailer, loose animals on the road, or any of a host of animal related incidents.
