  • Robert "RD" Daniel

Hi back at ya, used to work down there myself.
  • Robert "RD" Daniel

yea i spent 4 years down there, that was enough of the beach for me, I guess both places are still growing.
  • Robert "RD" Daniel

Yep up here where i'm stationed we just have to dodge them with the engine, I sure don't miss the tourist.
  • Robert "RD" Daniel

Heck know, when I got a break from 4 and went and rode with K mac, we used to mow them down on scenic gulf, we had high score
  • Robert "RD" Daniel

Know what you mean, I worked with bob, griggs and tommy for a while at 4, then I came back up here, moved to D ward, Kenny R and Kenny K, we had some good times, enjoyed working with K mac when I got a chance too.
  • Robert "RD" Daniel

No he was at one when I left, I left a few days before Katrina, I was vested in my retirement here, and the money was a lot better, so chose here. I worked both for over two years double dipping
  • Robert "RD" Daniel

Yep, Local 4413, I helped start it and held the presidents office for a bit.
  • Robert "RD" Daniel

cool, busy busy, we aren't that far behind you guys in employee numbers now, probably would caught up next year if it weren't for the tax cuts the local government had to take
  • Robert "RD" Daniel

Haven't heard any thing on next year yet, we are opening another station as soon as they get the potable water issues worked out for it. that will put us at 10 manned stations up here, with 6 rescues and 7 engines, another engine as soon as they get the black creek station opened.
  • Robert "RD" Daniel

Yes, we all have assigned stations, we are still undermanned badly though, we don't have the number of employee's you have, but we are working on it, we cover a lot more area too, so takes a bit more, but even with that my engine is 15 to 20 minutes by it self, Delete Comment
  • Robert "RD" Daniel

Lol, they are here, as well as bears, but they won't bother you. We don't cover Freeport, Defuniak, Argyle, and Liberty, other than that everything north of the bay we cover. We grew so fast and needed to replace so much equipment that the first few years have been spent buying new trucks and such, we all are in trucks that are two years old or less, mine is less than a year old. but now we need to bulk up the manning. If you see chief thomas tell him RD said hey, guess i'm gonna roll over and get some shut eye, nice chatting with ya.
