I became a Volunteer at 17 I come from a family of NY firemen I became an EMT at 18 and worked Fire/ EMS. I moved to South FL in 92 and became a Medic and worked Fire/Rescue and now moved to NW pa. and Volunteer Fire and work as a Medic

Top Issues Facing Responders:
Laws preventing training. The ban on live burns to trian young kids coming in is going to lead to injuries and death. The first time you feel real heat should not be on your first job.

The brotherhood seems to be fading Also for all you so very smart book firemen I say this books burn in heat

    Pass on any ideas you have...my kids are real trouble! The only thing we have for recruitment right now is a sign up outside the fire hall asking for volunteers! But we have done a door to door recruitment before, but it kinda hurt us in a way, because we ended up getting a ton of dead beats!

    I admire you bro. Being a single father of 3 takes a lot of stones and determination. Being able to be a devoted father is a daunting task at times, but seeing your also an active firefighter and hold down a full time job+ truely shows the charector of you.
