Other Past or Current Departments and Organizations
I used to be on IOB but my brother was there before I went there, and I could never shed the image of him.. so I have moved on to a department that knows me by my name and not my brothers. Now I am with Aransas Pass Fire Deparmtment and I like it pretty well!
My Training:
I am always doing some sort of training! I love rescue though! I live and breathe anything to do with Rescue! I am hoping to become a career firefighter in the next few years and if i am lucky its going to be next year! By the end of this year I should have close to 1,000 hours in the fire service. This is my dream job so I guess I am one of the lucky ones to have found that!
About Me:
A few years from now I hope to have my RN so I can be a flight nurse, I have athree yr old little girl. I love to sky dive or surf! Just about anything that is fun. I am pretty close to my family and friends. I try to be there for everyone when I can and recently seperated from my husband.. So its a new chapter in my life!

You All Take Care, now...
Welcome to the Firefighter Nation. In addition to the relatively cool videos and fire scene photos, there are numerous groups, discussions and chat available.
If you have never had the opportunity, take a minute to explore firefighterclosecalls.com and the secret list. This is a wonderful web site to explore and learn from the mistakes of others. It is also, sadly, a roll call of those whom have made the ultimate sacrifice, in their service to their communities.
We have all joined the Public Safety Community for a variety of our personal reasons. Some of us are paid, while others volunteer. Many are firefighters, while others enjoy the EMS side of the house. We have active firefighters, line officers, chiefs, administrative officers, and a number of old timers who have seen most of the mistakes already made at least once. We have firefighters with many many years of experience, and others that, well, don’t. All are welcome here in The Nation. We welcome your input, just as we hope that you learn from the experiences of others.
Personally, I have 31 years service to the local fire department. I have held most line officer positions, and some administrative as well. Now part of the Old Guard so to speak, I am less inclined to go charging into where others are trying to escape. Instead, I choose to monitor the fire scene closely, attempting to ensure the safety of all on the fire scene.
I welcome you to the FFN. Here we all share one common goal.....
Hi, ever get to the beaches by you? I'm looking for a beach/resort/hotel on the beach for a 50th birthday party. I was on Padre Island back in 1977. Pretty rustic back then but I'm sure things have changed.
Hey sarah, we are trying to put together an Emerald Society for Corpus Christi area firefighters...let me know if you are interested.
Have a few CC City Fire guys and some from the area as well as NASCC and the other Navy FD's.
Have a great morning and make sure and comment on how nice it is here weatherwise while all our northern brothers are freezing!
Hey Sarah, how's it going girl. Hope all is great and your having a great week. You take care out there and be safe. Just stop to say Hi from College Place, Washington..
