Other Past or Current Departments and Organizations
My department along with four other departments in Cumberland County make up Team 500. Team 500 or TROT Team (Technical Rescue Operations Team) can be called out to neighboring Counties for Trench Rescues, Confined Space Rescues, Stucture Collapse, etc. Team 500 is 100% volunteer. We have not gotten alot of calls but we have great training events and look forward to serving our area in these capacities.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Wanted to be part of something greater than myself and give back to my community. Once I joined, I knew it was were I belonged and now I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
When the pager goes off and you don't know what you will be getting into.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
For those of us in Cumberland County, Pa it is definately getting the kinks out of the 800mhz system. Otherwise I believe it is retaining active members in a society that is so "self" oriented.
