Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Hi I'm Chad. I'm 18 and am currently attending college in NY. I became part of the emergency services because I've always wanted to do something useful with my life and I decided at a young age that I would be willing to risk my life to help others. I'm scene support now, by I will be certified interior in a couple months.

Me in a nutshell: Caring beyond belief when it comes to the wellfare of my friends. I'm kind of old-fashioned...I practice chivalry and the like and I tend to be a quixotic dorky romantic. Basically I'm the kind of guy who is willing to show emotion and would be just as content seeing a movie as laying on the grass checking out the stars. So yeah if you know a girl who might be interested in a guy like me please let me know!
Why I Love Fire/EMS
that it allows me to finally do something worthwhile and meaningful in my life.

    Iam from Illinois Valley Volunteer department in Southern Oregon. Were in a small town so not a lot of calls, but when we do get them they're good ones lol. So your all the way in New York huh? Man I dont think I could make it in a New York Dept :)

    well thank you, i have a lot of ppl telling me i should go to their dept, and i dont know, i want to get some more experience under my belt before i move onto a bigger city dept. but ya i have considered NY. Oregon right now has about 4-5 inches of snow and more is expected! how about NY?
