Great taste in music! :) Steal away!

My husband and I met at a brushfire, actually. It's really great having a significant other involved in the same things I am.

Had a pretty cool night. We had the Stanley Cup in town for a hockey game. They took it around town to show it off and ended up at our house. I got several pictures with it and we didn't even have to fight a crowd. The background pic is with my helmet.

I don't even necessarily know that it has to be a mandated thing, but if everyone who is concerned about their fellow firefighters and their level of fitness were to do one thing, just one thing (replace the soda w/ Vitamin Water, offer nutrition bars alongside the donuts, put together a group to lift weights together or organize a department run every week) then perhaps a sea change could take place.
LOVE the Foo Fighters....who knew Dave Grohl would be the post-Nirvana breakout musician? I missed their show in Glens Falls, I was on the road doing trainings for FASNY.
  • Kerry Keith

Yeah I'm in the Fire class from CFD. Some guys from my department told me to make a Profile on here i'm still trying to figure it out lol. Are you instructing any other Classes?
  • Kerry Keith

That's cool your coming back, the class you instructed was one of the better ones we've had and a lot of the people in the class would agree.

    Jeff,
Regarding your post on my Training Wants and Needs discussion...
a.) I try not to listen to the voices in my head...they tell me to play with sharp shiny things.
b.) If not RIT...then what is it DO you guys want? Tell me how to do my job better and offer the kind of training programs that are needed.
  • Mary Ellen Shea

    Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your comments---I'll take those to the Training and Education committee and give them something to chew on.
If you have any other ideas, feel free to share them. I'll email you my work email address, you can send to me there.
Thanks for your time and attention on this, it's appreciated~
