Why I Joined Fire/EMS
To give back to my community! The volunteer fire service is the last bastion of the true volunteer spirit that founded our great nation, and I firmly believe that we have to keep that spriit alive.

My Dad was a Huge influence on my joining the Fire Service. As a young teen I watched him get together with members of their community to put together a volunteer department where there was none. The spirit of what they did has stuck with me throughout my life. As he grew within their department, made Chief, and served his community, my admiration of his focus lead me to my involvement. Hopefully one day I can put on a white hat and be half of the man that he was in that position.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
The ability to make a difference in others lives and ask nothing in return but a bit of respect sometimes.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
1. Teaching Core Values of dedication to Community (we, we instead of me me)
2. Volunteer Retention.
3. Love of Country and dedication to service.
