Basic Firefighter, HazMat Awarness/Operations, NIMS, First Responder
About Me:
I've been around for about 7 years. I LOVE the fire department. We run a ton of medical runs and we usually average a fire every month. I enjoy medical runs especially when you know you are really helping someone.
Day Job:
Superintendent of Bicknell Wastewater Treatment Department
I enjoy any chance I get to help someone out in their time of need. And because fire fighting is AWESOME!!
Why I Love Fire/EMS
The brother hood between everyone, and the rush you get!
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Basic Skills. In the past years, I have seen so much specialized training around our department, but no basic skills. Basic skills save property and lives. Let's get back to the basics!

Had one hell of a structure fire this morning. Nothing like spending New Years freezing cold, soaking wet, and having spanner wrenches frozen to your hands!!!
