About Me:

I am working on my Associate Degree at a local community college. On my days off from the fire department I spend time with my wife and three (3) boys their ages are 17, 13, and 2 1/2. I have a wonderful wife and a great marriage. I guess the reason I became a firefighter was because I have been around the fire department my whole life. Basicly I am a third generation firefighter. My grandfather was a fire fighter, also my father was and then me and my brother. I was the only one to make it a career.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

In NC in a volunteer department. After there I became involved in a local rescue squad and then decided to pursue a career in the firefighting profession.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

Knowing that I can help make a difference in someones life.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

in our area not enough pay for the job we do, even though we may not fight fire like New York Fire Department when we go on a call we put our lives on the line just as they do.
