About Me:
I have acquired a fair amount of both training and on scene experience and accepted the position as assistant training officer. Why I Joined Fire/EMS
The smile in a childs eyes when you hand them their anxious pet, the smile on a couples face when they see their wedding pictures made it out too... It doesn't get any better than this!!!!
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Knowing that I can be there
Top Issues Facing Responders:
The cost of equipment, both personal and apperatous, is outragous. The fact that 70% of Americas firefighters are volunteer. The price of fuel. The cutting of ems positions and or wages due to the countries need to compensate for the greed on wall street.

Hey Buz...I can appreciate how much it sucks being in such a small town FD. I can tell you, if our towns aren't at least the same size, mine might be smaller. I took the Survival and FAST training down at the county training center, which serves all of Greene County....and I think it's only been available there for about a year or so. It's fairly new here, but I was really happy to be able to take it. As for junior firefighters, I don't see the point of NOT having them. Most of the members in my department that are willing to do the dirty work and stuff that nobody else wants to do ARE the junior firefighteres who want to prove they're worth something to the company. That way, they get experience AND all the older and sometimes lazy members don't have to work themselves too hard. It's a win-win situation. =]
