    Apparently, you have very good judgment where it comes to people. Look at Sean.
    You won't be filling shoes. You need a good pair of eyes and good hearing. Imagination coupled with good people skills will get the best from your people. Gaining the support of the stakeholders will maintain and boost morale. When you burn up all of your energy fighting with the powers that be, it leaves little for the ones who count-your firefighters. When they know that you will buffer them from the politics and watch their backs when the tones drop, you and your department will be successful beyond your wildest expectations.
    If a small town boy like me can do it, it should be a stroll in the park for you.
