Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I joined to continue a family history in the fire service. I am a forth generation firefighter.
Why I Love Fire/EMS: It doesn't happen often but when that one person genuinly thanks you for doing something to save their life of property. And the sence of accomplishment when you bust your ass at a big job.
Top Issues Facing Responders:: Line of Duty deaths and the need for constant training, dwindling numbers in the volunteer fire service due to the overwelming fear of lawsuits.
