I know this was a general discussion a while back on the forums but it seems like a super topic for here.I was just curious as to anybody else's winter ops.I like to keep the pump circulating the whole time to keep it from freezing but I know a lot of folks who drain them too.Just a spot to list ANY cold weather tips and tricks. Thanks in advance.
In northern Vt. 20 miles from the Canadian border we run wet pump, never had a problem there but the primer freezing up is another story, a pan under the truck from one side of the body to the other can help. We do circulate water on scene like everyone else to keep from freezing. We keep the temp in our station 55 in the winter.
